National Accreditation and Quality Improvement Standards for seven health Programs are developed by The Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and USAID funded and Jhpiego led Strengthening Human Resources for Health Project. The programs include Medicine, Public Health officer, Nursing, Midwifery, Anesthesia, Medical Laboratory science and Pharmacy. The standards will facilitate promotion of efficient and transparent national accreditation systems, with the aim of producing graduates equipped with the competencies required for effective and safe practice. The lessons learned through this process will be replicated in other educational programs. You can find the program level standards in the download section.
